School of Design and Textile, UMT Faculty Member Conducted Design Ecology Workshop STITCH AND CREATE at PIFD Lahore
Sehrish Rafique, Assistant Professor, Department of Interior and Graphic Design, School of Design and Textiles (SDT), University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, represented UMT by conducting a Design Ecology Workshop for Master’s students of Fashion and Textile Design at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), Lahore, on Friday, 9 October 2026, from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The workshop focused on textile reuse and waste reduction, encouraging students to explore creative ways to extend the life of existing and discarded fabrics through experimentation, collaborative making, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange. It highlighted the role of creativity and shared learning in promoting sustainable design practices.
