It is a pleasure to inform you that Ms. Amna Khalid Qureshi, Assistant Professor and Acting Chairperson of the Department of Interior and Visual Communication Design at the School of Design and Textiles, UMT, has successfully defended her PhD thesis on December 23, 2024, completing the requirements for her PhD degree at the University of the Punjab.
Her research topic was “Exploration of Smart Material Innovation in Interior Textiles.” She was supervised by Dr. Sadia Farooq, Associate Professor in the Department of Interior Design at the University of Home Economics, Lahore; Dr. Shahzad Maqsood Khan, Professor and Director at the Institute of Polymer & Textile Engineering, University of the Punjab, Lahore; and Dr. Mumtaz Hasan Malik, Professor and Dean at the School of Design & Textiles, UMT, Lahore. Congratulations to Ms. Amna Khalid Qureshi on this significant achievement."
