Program Overview
The PhD Textile is a full time 4-year program which includes course work comprising of 18 credit hours which is followed by comprehensive examination and research. This is a rigorous program aimed at enabling and promoting high quality research in the field of textiles to benefit the world in general and Pakistan in particular.
Program Objectives
The core objective of the program is to enable the PhD candidates in conducting research for inventing and innovating solutions for ever-increasing problems of textile industry, as well as invent newer products and methods for the future.
Career Paths
The graduates of PhD Textile program will be able to join academia in faculty positions, textile industry, research institutions and government and non-governmental organizations as technical experts and advisors, and research scientists. They can also join the academia in faculty positions.
Admission Criteria
- 18 years of education in Textile Engineering or an allied discipline with minimum CGPA 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent in semester system or 60% in annual system
- No third Division in entire academic career
- NTS-GAT (Subject) with minimum 70% marks or equivalent with a valid result at the time of admission.
- UMT Written Test
